An orthotic expert witness service brought to you by Scott Frame
Keeping you up-to-date and informed, even after we’ve submitted the report.
Clear and objective about your claimants’ needs and costs, with unambigious reports of the highest quality.
Executive-level summaries so that you can quickly understand your claimants’ needs.
Relative and up-to-date clinical experience, plus 8 years delivering expert-witness services.
Scott Frame is a hands-on principal orthotist with over 18 years’ clinical experience, including complex, chronic, and routine diagnoses. He obtained a BSc (Hons) in Prosthetics and Orthotics in 2003 and achieved an MSc in Bioengineering in 2011. He is currently the Principal Orthotist for Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (Newport and Monmouthshire) and prior to this was the Clinical Lead Orthotist for Swansea Bay University Health Board.
Across these roles Scott has built extensive experience working within the most complex areas of practice and sits on national service level groups, including the national rehabilitation development group, to advise upon orthotic service provision.
Scott has been providing expert witness services since 2013, achieved the Cardiff University Bond Solon Expert Witness certification in 2017, and has grown his practice coverage and case capacity year on year.
His personal injury and clinical negligence work encompasses orthopaedic trauma, including acquired injuries through motor traffic accidents, clinical negligence cases in paediatrics, adult and paediatric neurology cases, and diabetes claims.
With a small team around him, Scott established Expert Orthotists in 2021 with the aim of simplifying the assessment and reporting process for clients who are too often frustrated by non-timely and out-of-date recommendations and reports. It is an entirely objective and unaffiliated service, and Scott can be instructed by claimants or defendants.
We know you’re working towards defined court dates, so we’ll respond to your enquiry promptly, requesting any further information, and clarifying your specific requirements and timescales. Scott will follow up personally to discuss next steps. By the end of that call, you’ll have a clear action plan, costings, and delivery dates.
Throughout the process, we’ll be available to provide any necessary updates on the client assessment process, and field any questions. Scott personally conducts every assessment and is focused on delivering expert, unbiased, and realistic recommendations. You will always receive your court-ready report on time.
Scott has worked as a hands-on orthotist for 18+ years. As an expert witness, he is extremely reliable, delivering accurate assessments and costs on every individual’s condition and prognosis. He will assess whether the Claimant’s condition is consistent with the injury or defect sustained, and take any past history into account that may influence their presentation at the time of assessment.
We carry out assessments across many sites in England and Wales. These areas include South Wales, Somerset, Wiltshire, Surrey, London, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool and others.
This enables us to see Claimants closer to their home, reducing their burden of travel and helping us to make a thorough and accurate assessment.
Our P35-compliant reports will meet all your instruction requirements, within an agreed timeframe. Because every report will be reviewed by persons with differing levels of orthotic knowledge, we ensure that every report we write is clear and unambiguous.
Where appropriate, we deliver evidence-based orthotic recommendations to optimise claimants’ recoveries and ongoing quality of life. Any costings will be clearly itemised. Once you and/or the solicitor have reviewed the report, you may, of course, come back to us with further questions, or requests for clarifications.
Once we’ve submitted your report, we’re still here to help. You can come back to us with any requests for clarifications, or any new questions that arise in response to the report. We’ll always respond promptly to requests for provisional court dates, and you’ll always find us fully apprised and prepared for any necessary meetings with solicitors or counsel.
Additionally, we are always happy for you to request our provisional thoughts on any other cases you may be working on. Just get in touch for a no-obligation conversation, pre- or post-instruction.
We’ll respond to your enquiry within 24 hours, requesting any further information, and clarifying your specific requirements and timescales.
I represent clients who have suffered severe, life-changing injuries who sometimes require orthotic assessment and provision. I have worked with Scott Frame and can highly recommend him for the assessment of orthotics needs and provision. Scott is good with clients and produces medico-legal reports which are fair, thorough and his opinion is well-reasoned.

Scott was very helpful and always responded very quickly. We had a tight deadline to meet and Scott was able to produce his report within the timescale required.
I was impressed by the quality of the report – it was detailed, well written and did not require clarification. I would definitely instruct Scott again.
